Overview

Because everything runs locally, PrivateDocs AI benefits from modern CPUs and GPUs. You do not need hosted infrastructure to run your vault.

Minimum Specs

A modern multi-core CPU (e.g., Intel i7 or equivalent), 16 GB of RAM, and sufficient SSD space for your documents and indexes.

Recommended for Best Performance

An Apple Silicon Mac (M1 and newer) or a PC with a dedicated graphics card usually gives you faster answers from the built-in local models.

Offline and air-gapped use

Storing, indexing, and asking questions about your documents run without any network path—your data does not have to leave the machine for core vault and local AI use.

With a lifetime license, there is no recurring online check-in, refresh interval, or heartbeat the app enforces to keep working. After you are licensed and the desktop app has recorded that on the device, you can use PrivateDocs AI on a system that never connects to the internet again. (You may still connect voluntarily for optional app updates.)

A short online session is only needed for account flows such as first sign-in, starting a trial, or completing a purchase—not as an ongoing, scheduled license test while you work offline.
